Boys Win Bullis Invitational
White and Patterson win to help propel UC boys T&F team to title at Bullis Invit.
Brown, Abraham, Saggio, and Duro also excel for the Vikings
The Union Catholic boys track and field made a big statement by winning the team title at the prestigious Bullis Bulldog Invitational on Saturday in Potomac, Maryland.
Brandon Patterson won the shot put with a throw of 55-0 1/4, and was fifth in the discus (136-9) as the Vikings outscored Dover of Maryland, 64-43. Krishna White also had a big day in the jumps for UC. He won the triple jump with a PR and NJ #2 3 46-7 3/4, was fourth in the high jump (6-2), and went 21-0 in the high jump.
Also for UC, sophomore Elijah Brown was third in the 400 with a NJ #2 48.67, the 4×800 team was second in 8:13.96, Uchenna Duru was third in the shot put with a a PR of 50-11 1/4, David Saggio placed fourth in the discus with a PR of 139-0, and Elijah Abraham placed fourth in the 400 hurdles in 58.21. Ryan McLaughlin was 6th in the 110 hurdles in a NJ #6 14.92.
In the 4×800, UC’s splits were 2:04.8 for Kyle Bartley, 2:01.0 for Justin Cadas, 2:02.5 for Andre Rodriguez, and 2:04.5 for Trevor Garrity.
